The muntins have an inside curve sharper than the curve of the door, accentuating the curve. The muntins would look flat if they were curved to match the curve of the rails.

The earlier cabinet has a less than pleasing about of space underneath it. The lower stretcher in this version creates a more balanced relationship between space and form. Tasmanian blackwood. 55cm x 26cm x 163cm. (21-5/8″w x 10-1/4″d x 64-1/8″h. The inward curve is about 4cm. (1-1/2″)
